Which one do I need?
Pick the file you have and the result you want. Unsupported pairs say why instead of sending you to the wrong download.
Not supported
- Downgrading an RVT to an older Revit; see Revit versions.
- RVT to DWG, DWG to IFC, DGN to IFC.
- 3D geometry from DWG or DGN.
- Converting in a browser. Everything runs on your machine.

Converted on the download site in one year: RVT 53,321, DWG 45,687, IFC 29,542, DGN 2,567 files (as of 2026-10-17). The DWG sample in Fig. 2 has 980 rows.
Questions about choosing a converter
Is there one converter for all CAD formats?
There is one converter per input format, with the same output shape: one row per element, one column per property. Install only the ones you need; Revit to Excel and Revit to DAE ship in the same zip.
Can you convert RVT to DWG?
No. We do not convert RVT to DWG or between other CAD formats. We extract data to Excel and write IFC and DAE.
Which converter gives 3D geometry?
The Revit and IFC converters write DAE (Collada) with element IDs that match the Excel rows. DWG and DGN give data only; DWG also writes PDF drawings.
Can I run them on a server?
Yes. Each converter has a command line and a Linux package. Server and batch deployment for a company needs a commercial licence.
